How to Update the Firmware Version on your V-Touch Controller

Synopsis: Your V-Touch controller will sometimes have new updates available for it in order to add features or fix small bugs. By sending an email to support@ver-mac.com with the serial number of your controller, we can provide the right firmware version for you. 

  • Level: Easy
  • Time required: 5-10 minutes.
  • Additional equipment required: 8-16GB Flash Drive, computer

1. Insert an 8-16GB flash drive into the computer, right-click on it, and select Format, then FAT32, then Start. This will wipe the flash drive

2. Unzip the firmware file, highlight all the files, right-click and press Copy

3. Open your flash drive and Paste the files into it, then eject your Flash Drive

4. Go to your unit (make sure it is powered off), insert your flash drive into the USB port on the V-Touch controller, and power on your unit

5. Wait for the ‘’Updating Files’’ screen to show up

 

6. Wait for the update to apply and the unit to reboot, then remove the flash drive

 

7. Check that the firmware version you installed is correct

Note: Firmware versions will vary depending on the type of controller you have, the one shown above is only an example of where to find the firmware version
