Speed-Mac Troubleshooting

Synopsis: The Speed-Mac is more easily troubleshot through the JamLogic software. Using JamLogic in addition to the LED indicators on the Speed-Mac, you will be able to isolate the issue and get your sensor back up and running.

1. Check the battery voltage

Note: The Speed-Mac 2.0 comes with a 6 volt battery that is autonomous for four days at 25 degree Celsius (standard use).

If your batteries die, connect the Speed-Mac to the vertical solar panel and allow it to charge. If you do not have the vertical solar panel, connect a DC power source (12v) to the external connector and let it charge for roughly 5 hours.

2. Check the LED indicators on the side of the Speed-Mac, use the following chart as reference:

3. In JamLogic, check the Status column. Listed below are some of the more frequent icons: 

Status OK: No issues with the unit

 

Controller Error: System having difficulties connecting to the server. The error should disappear after several connections. If it doesn't there could be a physical hardware issue

 

GPS Error: GPS error, the sensor could be inside or obstructed

 

Communication Timeout: The Speed-Mac is not communicating with JamLogic. This could be caused by an issue with the modem

 

Power Error: Unit voltage is getting too low, unit must be charged
