G3 Arrow Board Power & Lamp Error Troubleshooting

Synopsis: Your arrow board could encounter power issues over time. This could be caused by bad batteries or an issue with one of the components.

  • Level: Medium
  • Time required: 5 minutes
  • Additional equipment required: Voltmeter, replacement parts (optional)

                                                                                                                                                              

1. Try powering on the arrow board

2. Check for power & LEDs to the controller (J4 connector)
Note: To gain access to the connectors, you must remove the controller by unscrewing the 4 screws in each corner.

3. Check for power to the lamps (J6 connector)

If you see any dim or shut-off lamps, check the positive and negative connectors on the back of them, or simply swap them out with a different lamp. 

 

4. Check the batteries

4.1. If your unit has a charger option, try recharging your batteries if you have some that are too low
